Marc S. Sterling

Marc S. Sterling

Marc Sterling brings over 30 years of IRS and accounting experience to the firm. He founded Sterling Financial Services, LLC a little over nine years ago, when he and his family moved to Sedona.

Prior to establishing the firm, Marc established and grew another firm in Texas that he formed in 1986, that is still in existence today. In addition to his prior accounting firm in Texas, he spent three tax seasons with the Internal Revenue Service as well as working in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Marc’s vision for Sterling’s came from this experience where he discovered a need in the market to provide individuals and businesses with day-to-day financial consulting, and tax and bookkeeping services that were clear and understandable to enable them to better manage and maximize their hard earned dollars and operations.

Outside of the day-to-day accounting work, Marc serves as a public speaker at numerous events and has written for industry publications, including Skyward Magazine, Master Wealth, and for various Chambers of Commerce. Originally from Miami Beach, Florida, Marc earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984. He enjoys playing tennis, hiking, boating and many other outdoor activities with his pride and joy, son Trevor.

Chapin M. Fisher, MBA, CPA

Chapin M. Fisher

Chapin M. Fisher

Chapin joined our firm as a tax accountant mid-2010 and has been a great asset to us. He went to NAU for his undergraduate degree in accountancy along with his MBA in an accelerated 10-month program directly after his undergrad. He passed all four parts of his CPA exam on the first try.

He has a background in forensic accounting and valuation and has worked for a couple larger firms in Phoenix before coming back to Northern Arizona.

Loving the technological side of things, Chapin keeps up with all of the social networking for the firm and keeps up-to-date tax law research including all of the recent tax law changes and proposals.

Outside of the office, Chapin views working out as necessary therapy, loves playing competitive sports, and considers a day golfing–time well wasted.

Lynn Robie

Lynn Robie

Lynn Robie

Lynn Robie joined our firm as a bookkeeper and tax accountant in October 2011 bringing over 30 years of experience to the firm.  Lynn graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in accountancy and began her career at Peat Marwick and Mitchell working in both the audit and tax departments while earning her CPA designation.

Over the years Lynn has worked in a variety of different industries doing tax and accounting work for large corporations and small businesses, from banking to restaurants to non-profits. At Sterling she shares her time between tax and bookkeeping responsibilities. Her depth of experience and her ability to fill multiple roles makes her an asset to both her clients and the company.

Lynn and her family moved to Sedona in 1999 after living in the Washington DC area for 11 years.

Outside of the office Lynn is an active member of the local Buddhist Community. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Olin and three children, Chodron, Alexandra and Ananda.  On the creative side, she is an excellent seamstress, able to create fine clothing even without a pattern to work from!

Deb Myers

Deb Myers

Deb Myers

Deb joined Sterling Financial Services in June 2012. Prior to moving to Arizona with her husband Brian, and youngest son Chris, Deb worked as a bookkeeper for 10 years in Severna Park, MD. Before her public accounting career, Deb was a franchisee for Auntie Anne’s Hand Rolled Soft Pretzels. Her responsibilities included store-level operations, personnel and bookkeeping, which provided her with a wealth of small business experience and all aspects of the financial process. She draws on this experience when working with her Sedona business clients.

In her free time Deb enjoys outdoor activities, taking advantage of the beautiful Sedona weather.

She especially looks forward to visits from her son Collin who lives in Maryland.

Felicia Blasdel

Felicia has an Accounting Degree from the University of Phoenix.  Additionally she has 20+ years’ experience as an accountant assisting small businesses with a wide range of accounting functions.  She initially became involved with accounting when helping a family member with a startup business.  Realizing that there is a lot of reporting and licensing involved with running a small business, she continued her education in the accounting and business direction.

Felicia was a manager for several businesses in Phoenix, including doing the accounting, marketing, managing employees and advertising.  Approximately 10 years ago she started her own accounting business, serving a wide range of industries and small businesses, predominately medical.  Her services included startup for new companies, defining and setting up business processes, general ledger accounting through financials, receivables, payables and payroll. QuickBooks is the accounting software most predominately used.

She recently had the opportunity of relocating to Sedona and joining Sterling Financial Services LLC.  She is very excited about joining this excellent accounting firm and living in such a beautiful area.  Her joys include hiking, biking, yoga and family.  She looks forward to serving you.
