Marc S. Sterling

Marc Sterling brings over 27 years of IRS and accounting experience to the firm. He founded Sterling Financial Services, LLC a little over nine years ago, when he and his family moved to Sedona.

Prior to establishing the firm, Marc established and grew another firm in Texas that he formed in 1986, that is still in existence today. In addition to his prior accounting firm in Texas, he spent three tax seasons with the Internal Revenue Service as well as working in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Marc’s vision for Sterling’s came from this experience where he discovered a need in the market to provide individuals and businesses with day-to-day financial consulting, and tax and bookkeeping services that were clear and understandable to enable them to better manage and maximize their hard earned dollars and operations.

Outside of the day-to-day accounting work, Marc serves as a public speaker at numerous events and has written for industry publications, including Skyward Magazine, Master Wealth, and for various Chambers of Commerce. Originally from Miami Beach, Florida, Marc earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984. He enjoys playing tennis, hiking, boating and many other outdoor activities with his pride and joy, son Trevor.

Chapin M. Fisher, MBA, CPA

Chapin joined our firm as a tax accountant mid-2010 and has been a great asset to us. He went to NAU for his undergraduate degree in accountancy along with his MBA in an accelerated 10-month program directly after his undergrad. He also just passed all four parts of his CPA exam on the first try.

He has a background in forensic accounting and valuation and has worked for a couple larger firms in Phoenix before coming back to Northern Arizona.

Loving the technological side of things, Chapin keeps up with all of the social networking for the firm and keeps up-to-date tax law research including all of the recent tax law changes and proposals.

Outside of the office, Chapin views working out as necessary therapy, loves playing competitive sports, and considers a day golfing–time well wasted.

Shelley Allen

Shelley joined the firm in the summer of 2009. Before working with Sterling Financial Services, Shelley worked as a bookkeeper for over 13 years. Her experience includes providing a full-range of bookkeeping services including financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns for a variety of individuals and companies, including non-profit organizations and other businesses such as restaurants, independent consulting firms, production, marketing, and many retailers.

Living and working in Sedona since 1999, Shelley loves client interaction and has enjoyed working with and helping many members within our local community. Shelley is invaluable in helping clients by serving as a go-to person when dealing and working through individual and business issues with various governmental organizations.

Shelley enjoys spending time in her new home in Sedona with her husband, Jay, her daughter, Serena, and loves to escape to Colorado to see her son, Nick, when she can.

Debbie Ellington

Debbie brings 20+ years of experience in the bookkeeping area and is a certified QuickBooks© Pro Advisor and has been for the last 15 years. She recently relocated to Sedona to add another depth of service to our firm.

Clients who work with Debbie say that it is enjoyable and beneficial because she explains things to where topics and concepts are easily understood and retained. Her specialty involves QuickBooks© training classes either in groups or one-on-one sessions in your office.

Debbie’s knowledge of accounting concepts help clients better manage their business. Debbie loves to act on her Italian roots and cook delicious and extravagant meals for the office during crunch times and is a great singer.
